About the Artist

June Ni is a visual artist based in Charlotte, North Carolina, working primarily in watercolor and acrylic. She often begins with digital sketches to explore shape, color, and composition, then shifts to traditional materials—painting by hand on paper, canvas, or watercolor-ground-coated panels. Her process is both intuitive and experimental, balancing control with chance and allowing each piece to evolve through subtle shifts and quiet decisions.

Her recent series explores the idea of taking Cubism and letting it breathe—making it more intimate, light, and domestic—while also investigating the airy, layered possibilities of abstraction. For June, art is less about fixed answers than about continuous exploration, with each painting offering an open invitation for reflection. She has painted full-time since 2021.
